English: Periosteal callus formation after a proximal tibial shaft fracture. There are some disuse osteopenia changes around the fracture site (best seen in the CT images). The fracture gap is wide in this case due to increased bone resorption during granulation tissue formation. Left upper image: CT scan axial view. Left lower image: volume rendering of CT scan. Middle upper and middle lower images: Coronal and sagittal views of the CT scan. Right upper and right lower images: AP and lateral views of plain X-rays.
