2001 Sex Strike For Running Water
"2001 Sex Strike For Running Water" was a protest organized by women in the village of Kikaya in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The women refused to have sex with their husbands until they received access to clean running water. The protest was successful, and the village received its first water pump a few months later.
