Arterial Resistivity Index (RI) is a Doppler ultrasound parameter used in the evaluation of blood flow and vascular resistance within the body. It is a non-invasive diagnostic tool commonly applied in the fields of radiology and cardiology to assess the resistance to blood flow in arteries. Where Peak Systolic Velocity is the maximum blood velocity during heart contraction, and End Diastolic Velocity is the blood velocity during heart relaxation.
