Chicken roulades with sage and gruyere is a delicious and nutritious keto-friendly recipe. This dish is high in protein and low in carbs, making it perfect for those following a ketogenic diet.

- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 8 slices of gruyere cheese
- 8 fresh sage leaves
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
Instructions[edit | edit source]
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Flatten the chicken breasts to about 1/4 inch thickness.
- Place a slice of gruyere and a sage leaf on each chicken breast.
- Roll up the chicken breasts and secure with toothpicks.
- Season the chicken roulades with salt and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat.
- Add the chicken roulades and cook until browned on all sides.
- Add the chicken broth to the skillet and bring to a simmer.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
- Remove the skillet from the oven and place the chicken roulades on a serving platter.
- Add the heavy cream to the skillet and stir to combine with the chicken broth.
- Simmer the sauce until thickened, then pour over the chicken roulades.
