Crossway is a publishing ministry of Good News Publishers, a non-profit Christian organization. It is best known for publishing the English Standard Version (ESV) of the Bible and a variety of other Christian books and resources.

Crossway was founded in 1938 by Clyde and Muriel Dennis. Initially, the organization focused on distributing gospel tracts and other evangelistic literature. Over the years, Crossway expanded its publishing efforts to include a wide range of Christian books, Bibles, and study resources.

English Standard Version (ESV)[edit | edit source]

One of Crossway's most significant contributions to Christian literature is the publication of the English Standard Version (ESV) of the Bible. The ESV is a revision of the Revised Standard Version (RSV) and was first published in 2001. It is known for its word-for-word accuracy and literary excellence, making it a popular choice for both personal study and public reading.
