James Dobbin (born 26 September 1941) was a British politician who served as a Member of Parliament (MP) for the Heywood and Middleton constituency from 1997 until his death in 2014.

Dobbin was born in Salford, England, and attended local schools before pursuing a career in politics.

Political Career[edit | edit source]

Dobbin was a member of the Labour Party and was elected as the MP for Heywood and Middleton in the 1997 general election. He was known for his work on healthcare issues and served on various parliamentary committees related to health and social care. During his time in Parliament, Dobbin was a vocal advocate for improving healthcare services and reducing health inequalities.
