Kim Batiste is a former professional baseball player who played as an infielder in Major League Baseball (MLB). He was born on March 15, 1968, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Batiste made his MLB debut on September 1, 1991, with the Philadelphia Phillies.

Early Life[edit | edit source]

Batiste grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he developed a passion for baseball at a young age. He attended LSU and played college baseball for the LSU Tigers.

Professional Career[edit | edit source]

Batiste was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in the third round of the 1987 MLB Draft. He spent several seasons in the minor leagues before making his MLB debut in 1991. Batiste played primarily as a third baseman and shortstop during his MLB career.

During his time with the Phillies, Batiste was known for his defensive skills and versatility in the infield. He played with the Phillies until 1994 when he was traded to the San Francisco Giants. Batiste also had brief stints with the Houston Astros and the Yokohama BayStars in Japan.
