Linda Evangelista (born May 10, 1965) is a Canadian fashion model and one of the top supermodels from the late 1980s and early 1990s. She is regarded as one of the most accomplished and influential models of all time and has been featured on over 700 magazine covers.

Linda Evangelista was born in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. She is of Italian descent, and her parents emigrated from Pignataro Interamna in Italy. Evangelista attended a Roman Catholic school and was raised in a traditional Catholic family.

Evangelista began her modeling career in 1984 when she signed with Elite Model Management. She gained fame in the late 1980s and became a prominent figure in the fashion industry.
