List of Counties by U.S. State and Territory is a comprehensive enumeration of the county and county-equivalent administrative divisions in the United States and its territories. The United States is divided into 50 states, most of which are further divided into counties. There are 3,142 counties and county-equivalents in the United States as of the latest count.
