Maria Branwell was an English woman known for being the mother of the famous Brontë sisters, Charlotte Brontë, Emily Brontë, and Anne Brontë. She was born on April 15, 1783, in Penzance, Cornwall, England. Maria married Patrick Brontë, an Irish clergyman, on December 29, 1812. The couple had six children, including the three Brontë sisters who would later become renowned authors.

Maria Branwell's influence on her children's upbringing and education was significant. She instilled a love for literature and learning in her daughters, fostering their creativity and passion for writing.
