Microgram

A Microgram is a unit of mass in the International System of Units. The symbol for microgram is µg, which is the Greek letter mu followed by the Latin letter g for gram. The microgram is equal to one millionth (1/1,000,000) of a gram.

The microgram is a unit of mass in the Metric system, which is based on the kilogram. The kilogram is the base unit of mass in the International System of Units. The microgram is derived from the kilogram by dividing by one million (1,000,000). This means that one microgram is equal to 0.000001 kilograms.

Micrograms are commonly used in medicine and pharmacy, for measuring the amounts of medication given to patients. They are also used in chemistry and biology, for measuring small amounts of chemical substances and biological materials.

Conversion[edit | edit source]

To convert from micrograms to grams, divide the number of micrograms by one million (1,000,000). To convert from grams to micrograms, multiply the number of grams by one million (1,000,000).
