Nephi Anderson was an American author and playwright known for his contributions to Latter-day Saint literature. He was born on January 22, 1865, in Christiania, Norway and immigrated to the United States with his family at a young age. Anderson grew up in Brigham City, Utah and later served as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Southern States Mission.

Anderson's literary career began with the publication of his novel Added Upon in 1898. This work, which explores themes of life after death and eternal progression, became a classic in Mormon literature. He went on to write several other novels, including Dorian and The Castle Builder.

In addition to his novels, Anderson also wrote numerous plays and short stories that were published in various Latter-day Saint publications. His works often reflected his deep faith and belief in the principles of the Latter-day Saint movement.

Nephi Anderson passed away on June 6, 1923, leaving behind a legacy of literature that continues to inspire and uplift readers today.
