Pan-African Paediatric Surgical Association (PAPSA) is a professional organization dedicated to the advancement of paediatric surgery across the African continent. Established with the aim of promoting high standards of paediatric surgical care in African countries, PAPSA serves as a platform for collaboration, education, and research among paediatric surgeons and healthcare professionals involved in the surgical care of children.

History

The Pan-African Paediatric Surgical Association was founded to address the unique challenges faced by paediatric surgeons in Africa, including limited resources, high disease burden, and the need for specialized training and education in paediatric surgery. The association has grown over the years to include members from various African countries, all committed to improving surgical outcomes for children across the continent.

Objectives

PAPSA's main objectives include:

Challenges
