Talabat was founded by a group of young entrepreneurs in Kuwait. The company was the first online food ordering platform in the region. In 2015, it was acquired by the German company Rocket Internet and became part of the Global Online Takeaway Group.

Services[edit | edit source]

Talabat provides a platform for users to order food from a wide variety of restaurants in their area. Users can browse menus, read reviews, and place orders for delivery or pickup. The platform also offers special deals and promotions from participating restaurants.

In addition to food delivery, Talabat also offers grocery delivery services in some markets. This service, known as Talabat Mart, was launched in 2020 in response to increased demand for home delivery services during the COVID-19 pandemic.
