Vertical–horizontal Illusion is a visual phenomenon where the perception of the length of a vertical line is overestimated compared to that of a horizontal line of the same length. This optical illusion is one of several illusions that affect size perception and spatial orientation, illustrating the complex ways in which the human brain interprets visual information.

The vertical–horizontal illusion involves two lines drawn at right angles to each other, forming a T-shape.
