Ambler is a borough in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is located approximately 16 miles north of Philadelphia. The borough is known for its historic architecture, vibrant downtown, and community events.

Ambler was originally settled in 1682. The area was initially known as the "Village of Wissahickon" and later as "Rose Valley." The name "Ambler" was adopted in 1869 in honor of Mary Johnson Ambler, who played a significant role in the aftermath of the Great Train Wreck of 1856. The borough was officially incorporated in 1888.

Ambler is situated in southeastern Pennsylvania and covers an area of 0.85 square miles, all of which is land. The borough is part of the Delaware Valley region and is bordered by Upper Dublin Township and Lower Gwynedd Township.
