Ayrshire Central Hospital is a healthcare facility located in Irvine, Ayrshire, Scotland. It is managed by the NHS Ayrshire and Arran, a part of the National Health Service in Scotland.

The Ayrshire Central Hospital was officially opened in 1941, during the World War II. It was initially used as a military hospital, providing medical services to the soldiers. After the war, it was converted into a civilian hospital and has been serving the local community ever since.

Ayrshire Central Hospital provides a wide range of medical services. It has departments for General Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics, and Psychiatry. The hospital also has a Radiology department equipped with modern imaging technologies.
Facilities[edit | edit source]
The hospital has a total of 360 beds, spread across various departments. It also has a Pharmacy on-site, providing medicines to the patients. The hospital is equipped with a Helipad for emergency air ambulance services.
Future Developments[edit | edit source]
There are plans to expand the hospital's services and facilities in the future. This includes the construction of a new Cancer Care centre and the expansion of the Emergency Department.
