Buwenge General Hospital

Buwenge General Hospital is a government-owned health facility located in Buwenge, Jinja District, in the Eastern Region of Uganda. The hospital is administered by the Uganda Ministry of Health and serves as a referral facility for health centers in the district.

The hospital is situated in the town of Buwenge, approximately 30 kilometers, by road, northeast of Jinja, the largest city in the region. The geographical coordinates of Buwenge General Hospital are: 0°38'24.0"N, 33°10'12.0"E.

Buwenge General Hospital is a public hospital, funded by the government of Uganda. It is one of the 13 general hospitals in Uganda that are managed by the Ministry of Health. The hospital provides general medical services, including maternity care, pediatric care, general surgery, and HIV/AIDS treatment. It also serves as a teaching hospital for medical students from various universities in Uganda.
