List of Sri Lankan sweets and desserts is a compilation of the various types of sweets and desserts that originate from Sri Lanka. Sri Lankan cuisine is known for its particular combinations of herbs, spices, fish, vegetables, rices, and fruits. The country's sweets and desserts are no exception, and are known for their unique flavors and ingredients.

Sweets[edit | edit source]

Kavum is a traditional Sri Lankan sweet made from rice flour and treacle, and deep-fried to a golden brown. It is most commonly made for the Sinhala and Tamil New Year.

Mung Kavum is a variation of Kavum that is made with green gram (mung bean) flour. It is also a popular sweet during the Sinhala and Tamil New Year.

Aasmi is a sweet dish made from rice flour, with a hint of lime and a sweet syrup made from coconut milk. It is often garnished with a touch of saffron for added flavor and color.

Aluwa is a sweet made from rice flour and treacle, and is often flavored with cardamom and cloves. It is typically cut into diamond shapes before being served.

Thala Guli is a sweet made from sesame seeds and jaggery, and is often shaped into small balls.
