List of Corticosteroids[edit | edit source]
Glucocorticoids[edit | edit source]
Glucocorticoids are a type of corticosteroid hormone that is involved in metabolism and immune response.
- Prednisone - Prednisone is a synthetic glucocorticoid used to treat a variety of inflammatory and autoimmune conditions.
- Dexamethasone - Dexamethasone is a potent synthetic member of the glucocorticoid class of steroid drugs. It acts as an anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressant.
- Hydrocortisone - Hydrocortisone is the name for the hormone cortisol when supplied as a medication. Uses include conditions such as adrenocortical insufficiency, adrenogenital syndrome, high blood calcium, thyroiditis, rheumatoid arthritis, dermatitis, asthma, and COPD.
Mineralocorticoids[edit | edit source]
