Nanogram
A Nanogram is a unit of mass in the International System of Units. The symbol for nanogram is ng. It is equal to one billionth (1/1,000,000,000) of a gram, or one millionth (1/1,000,000) of a milligram.
Usage[edit | edit source]
Nanograms are commonly used in microbiology, pharmacology, and the study of pollutants in the environment. In microbiology, they are used to measure the amount of DNA or RNA in a sample. In pharmacology, they are used to measure the amount of a drug in a patient's blood or urine. In environmental studies, they are used to measure the amount of pollutants in air, water, or soil.
Conversion[edit | edit source]
To convert from nanograms to grams, divide the number of nanograms by 1,000,000,000. To convert from nanograms to milligrams, divide the number of nanograms by 1,000,000.
