A condition marked by infertility, enlarged ovaries due to ovarian cysts, l problems, high levels of male hormones, specifically testosterone, excess hair on the face and body called hirsutism, acne, and obesity.

Women with PCOS have an increased risk of diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, and endometrial cancer.

Cause[edit | edit source]

It is caused by insulin resistance

Other names[edit | edit source]

It is also called polycystic ovary syndrome.
