Tests and procedures

Doctors of osteopathy (DOs) take a hands-on approach to musculoskeletal disorders. Osteopathic manipulation treatment (OMT) is used to help correct structural imbalances in the body, improve circulation and relieve pain. They may test the range of motion in any painful or affected areas, including neuromuscular testing of the upper and lower limbs.

Most DO's practice similar to MD's and order blood tests, and perform many procedures, do history and physical examinations, offer immunizations, diagnose and treat many health conditions based on their area of practice.
