Duluth is a city located in the state of Minnesota, United States. It is the fourth largest city in Minnesota and the county seat of Saint Louis County. Duluth has a population of 86,265 and is the second-largest city on Lake Superior's shores.

Duluth's history dates back to 1856 when it was incorporated as a city. It was named after Daniel Greysolon, Sieur du Lhut, who came to the area in 1679. The city's economy was initially based on shipping and mining.

Geography[edit | edit source]

Duluth is located on the westernmost tip of Lake Superior and shares its western border with Superior, Wisconsin. The city's topography is defined by the lake and the hillside, providing stunning views of the surrounding area.
