Fundus
In medicine, fundus (FUN-dus), like in fundus of the stomach, is the part of a hollow organ that is across from, or farthest away from, the organ’s opening.
Where is fundus located?[edit | edit source]
Depending on the organ, the fundus may be at the top or bottom of the organ.
Fundus of uterus[edit | edit source]
For example, the fundus of the uterus is the top part of the uterus that is across from the cervix (the opening of the uterus).
Fundus of the bladder[edit | edit source]
The fundus of the bladder is the back, bottom part of the bladder.
