MPNST

MPNST or Malignant Peripheral Nerve Sheath Tumor is a rare form of cancer that affects the peripheral nerves. It is also known as neurofibrosarcoma and is associated with NF1, a genetic disorder that causes tumors to form on nerve tissue.

Symptoms

The symptoms of MPNST can vary greatly depending on the location and size of the tumor. Common symptoms include:

• Pain or a deep aching sensation
• A growing mass or lump
• Neurological problems such as weakness, numbness, or difficulty with movement

Causes
