Mmol

Mmol or millimole is a unit of amount of substance. It is commonly used in chemistry and biochemistry, and is equal to 1/1000 of a mole. The symbol for millimole is mmol.

Definition

A millimole is defined as 1/1000 of a mole, which is one of the seven base units in the International System of Units. The mole is defined as the amount of substance that contains as many entities (such as atoms, molecules, ions, etc.) as there are in 12 grams of pure carbon-12. Therefore, a millimole is the amount of substance that contains as many entities as there are in 0.012 grams of pure carbon-12.
