Plectranthus amboinicus
An aromatic fleshy herb of India and Ceylon to South Africa; sometimes placed in genus Plectranthus
Uses[edit | edit source]
It is a folk herb used in reducing inflammatory diseases including arthritis.
It is being studied to treat inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arhtritis or swelling symptoms and has been used in Taiwan and other Asian countries in herbal medicine.
Evidence for use in arthritis[edit | edit source]
There is at least one study[1] that demonstrated the anti-inflammatory properties of this herb. See the study here.
