A pouch is a small or medium size container for holding or carrying things.

In anatomy, a pouch is a saclike structure in any of various animals (as a marsupial, gopher or pelican)
In surgery[edit | edit source]
In surgery, a pouching system can be used to connect the intestine to the outside such as ileostomy bag.
Other uses[edit | edit source]
- It can also mean an enclosed space;
- send by special mail that goes through diplomatic channels;
- put into a small bag: swell or protrude outwards
