| Description | Colonial rotifers, tentatively identified as Conochilius. The colony is somewhat less than 1 mm in diameter, but visible to the naked eye. I collected these on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain, Louisiana, on July 5, 2010. Photo made with a Leitz microscope, 3.5x objective, 10x eyepiece. |
