Summary[edit]

Summary
Description Photo of "mosaic lines" on my left leg, between achilles and calf muscles. I've had these on both of my legs for decades, but just learned today that they are "tell-tale" signs of Ichthyosis vulgaris. I also learned that mutation in the gene for the protein filaggrin (FLG) could be responsible for this, and is also implicated in some cases of Eosinophilic Esophagitis, which I've been diagnosed with by biopsy. The photo may be useful for the Ichthyosis vulgaris and filaggrin articles.
