Summary[edit]

Summary
Description Khao man kai (Thai script: ข้าวมันไก่) is the Thai version of Hainanese chicken rice. It is rice boiled with garlic and oil in a light chicken broth, and which is served with slices of boiled chicken, a bowl of chicken broth, and, in the Thai version, a dipping sauce containing fermented yellow bean paste, chopped ginger, chopped Thai chilli peppers and thick soy sauce. A few pieces of curdled blood (black pudding) are also often included. Sometimes, if available, one can also ask to have chicken liver included.
