Summary[edit]

Summary
Description The homologous human sexual organs: penis and clitoris. The corresponding parts are shown in the same colours. The clitoral bulbs are connected to the clitoral glans via the RSP (infracorporeal residual spongy part), indicating common embryonic development. According to recent literature sources, the glans of the penis and the glans of the clitoris are both regarded as originating from the corpus spongiosum and therefore as homologous.
