Summary
Description A food price index published by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations, for 1961–2021. The FAO Food Price Index (FFPI) is a measure of the international prices of a basket of food commodities, published monthly. It consists of the weighted average of five commodity group price indices. The commodity groups are Cereal, Vegetable Oil, Dairy, Meat, and Sugar. The Real Price Index is the Nominal Price Index deflated by the World Bank Manufactures Unit Value Index (MUV).
