Description Very high magnification micrograph of fetal thrombotic vasculopathy. H&E stain.

Histopathologically, it is characterized by:[1]

Clustered fibrotic chorionic villi without blood vessels. Thrombi in fetal vessels. Clinically, it is associated with cerebral palsy, and stillbirth.
