| Description | Atlantic Ocean (Mar. 05, 2004) – Hospital Corpsman Brian Long, of Sellersville, Pa., attempts to read a standard eye chart from twenty feet with the help of an Optical Refractor aboard the aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy (CV 67). The Refractor is an instrument used to measure deficits in vision acuity so corrective lenses can be prescribed. Corrections include astigmatism, near sighted, and farsighted vision problems. John F.
