Description Very low magnification micrograph of salpingitis isthmica nodosa, abbreviated SIN, is a nodular thickening of the narrow (isthmus) portion of the uterine tube (Fallopian tube). It is also known as diverticulosis of the Fallopian tube. H&E stain.

SIN is associated with infertility and ectopic pregnancy.[1] It may be considered to be analogous to vasitis nodosa. Histomorphologically, it is characterized by:
