Summary

Description
English: Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented. – In a chicken farm in Duiven the eggs are put in an incubator. After the eggs have been checked with a so-called "schouwlamp" (observation light) for the presence of an embryo five days later, the brooding is continued. After 21 days the eggs hatch and the chicks are taken from the machine and are collected in cardboard boxes. On a seperate table the chicken sexers are seated. They check the chicks in the boxes and seperate the hens from the cocks.
Nederlands: Bioscoopjournaals waarin Nederlandse onderwerpen van een bepaalde week worden gepresenteerd. – In een kippenfokkerij in Duiven gaan eieren in de broedmachine. Nadat de eieren, vijf dagen later, mbv een zgn. "schouwlamp" zijn gecontroleerd op de aanwezigheid van een embryo, wordt het broeden voortgezet. Na 21 dagen komen de eieren uit en worden de kuikens uit de machine gehaald en in kartonnen dozen verzameld. Aan een aparte tafel zitten kuikensexers die de kuikens in de dozen selecteren op geslacht en waarbij hennetjes en haantjes worden gescheiden.
