Description Superficial spreading melanoma: atypical melanocytes are scattered throughout the epidermis. Tumor cells compose cell groups at basal layer, The melanocytes have abundant eosinophilic cytoplasm and pleomorphic vesicular nuclei. Nucleoli are prominent.
