Summary[edit]

Summary
Description Thomsonite

Locality: Malad, Ward 38, Mumbai (Bombay), Mumbai District (Bombay District), Maharashtra, India (Locality at mindat.org)

At first, nobody could believe these were thomsonites when they appeared at the Tucson show earlier this year – they were being sold as something else until “the” expert on zeolites identified them for what they were right there at the show – the biggest and richest thomsonites the world has ever seen! Then there was a mad rush to buy them, of course. Not all are so beautiful, but a few have the gorgeous aesthetics of this one, with a huge, perfect ball measuring 4 cm centred on the sparing matrix, surrounded by smaller balls. 9 x 6.5 x 2.8 cm
