Summary
Description An ultraviolet light-emitting diode (UV LED) with peak emission at 380 nanometres. The UV shows the security threads in the Canadian $5 bill and the fluorescent stripe and "20" numerals printed on the back of the American $20. The bus tickets are printed on "dayglo" paper and fluoresce strongly in UV light. The dishwashing soap contains UV brighteners.
