Description Ube halaya is a popular Filipino dessert often served during fiestas and other special occasions. It is usually made from purple yam (Dioscorea alata),milk, sugar, etc. It is usually topped with toasted coconut milk curd or cheese. Ube halaya can be incorporated into cakes, pastries, and halo-halo.
