Chowking is a popular fast food chain in the Philippines that specializes in Chinese cuisine. It was founded in 1985 by Robert Kuan in Makati, Philippines. The success of its initial outlets led to rapid expansion throughout the Philippines.

In 2000, Chowking became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jollibee Foods Corporation, the largest fast food company in the Philippines. This acquisition allowed Chowking to further expand its network and enhance its operations through the shared expertise and resources of the Jollibee Group.
