Colorectal Cancer Alliance

The Colorectal Cancer Alliance is a national non-profit organization based in the United States, dedicated to reducing the impact of colorectal cancer through awareness, education, support, and research. The organization was founded in 1999 by a group of 40 individuals who had been personally affected by colorectal cancer.

The Colorectal Cancer Alliance was initially established as the Colon Cancer Alliance. The organization changed its name in 2017 to better reflect its mission to end colorectal cancer within our lifetime. The Alliance is committed to providing support for patients and families, increasing awareness of the disease, and funding critical research.

Mission and Goals[edit | edit source]

The mission of the Colorectal Cancer Alliance is to empower a nation of allies who work with us to provide support for patients and families, caregivers, and survivors; to raise awareness of preventive measures; and inspire efforts to fund critical research. The Alliance's goals include increasing the number of individuals screened for colorectal cancer and reducing the incidence of the disease.

Programs and Services[edit | edit source]

The Colorectal Cancer Alliance offers a variety of programs and services to support individuals and families affected by colorectal cancer. These include a helpline, patient navigation services, financial assistance programs, and support groups. The Alliance also provides educational resources and conducts awareness campaigns to promote early detection and prevention of colorectal cancer.

The Colorectal Cancer Alliance funds research to improve the prevention, detection, and treatment of colorectal cancer. The organization has funded millions of dollars in research grants to scientists and clinicians around the world.
