Hydrodiuril

Hydrodiuril is a medication that belongs to a class of drugs known as diuretics. It is primarily used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) and edema (fluid retention). Hydrodiuril works by causing the kidneys to get rid of unneeded water and salt from the body into the urine.

Hydrodiuril is used to treat high blood pressure. Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems. It is also used to reduce extra salt and water in the body caused by conditions such as heart failure, liver disease, and kidney disease. Decreasing extra salt and water in the body helps to decrease swelling (edema) and breathing problems caused by fluid in the lungs.

Some common side effects of Hydrodiuril include dizziness, lightheadedness, or upset stomach as your body adjusts to the medication. If any of these effects persist or worsen, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly.
