Red bopple nut

Red Bopple Nut is a species of plant in the Proteaceae family, native to Australia. It is also known by its scientific name, Hicksbeachia pinnatifolia. The plant is commonly found in the rainforests of Queensland and New South Wales.

The Red Bopple Nut is a small to medium-sized tree, typically reaching heights of 6 to 12 meters. It has dark green, glossy leaves that are pinnate, with 7 to 17 leaflets. The tree produces clusters of bright red, edible nuts, which are encased in a hard shell. These nuts are the source of the tree's common name.

The Red Bopple Nut is cultivated for its ornamental value and for its edible nuts. The nuts are sweet and can be eaten raw or used in cooking. They are also a source of protein and oil. The tree is also used in reforestation projects due to its ability to grow in a variety of soil types and conditions.

The Red Bopple Nut is not currently listed as threatened or endangered. However, like many native Australian species, it faces threats from habitat loss due to deforestation and land conversion for agriculture.
