Tahoe

From WikiMD's Food, Medicine & Wellness Encyclopedia

Tahoe is a term that can refer to several different entities, most notably a geographic region in the United States, a type of vehicle, and a distributed data store. This article will focus on these three primary uses of the term.

Geographic Region[edit | edit source]

Lake Tahoe is a large freshwater lake located along the border between California and Nevada, in the Sierra Nevada mountain range. It is known for its clear, blue water and the surrounding mountainous landscape. The area around the lake, also referred to as Tahoe, is a popular destination for outdoor activities such as skiing, hiking, and boating.

Vehicle[edit | edit source]

The Chevrolet Tahoe is a full-size SUV from General Motors. It was first introduced in the 1995 model year as a replacement for the Chevrolet Blazer. The Tahoe is known for its size, power, and luxury features.

Distributed Data Store[edit | edit source]

Tahoe-LAFS (Least Authority File System) is a free and open distributed data store and file system. It distributes your data across multiple servers, and even if some of the servers fail or are taken over by an attacker, the entire file system continues to function correctly, preserving your privacy and security.
