Biomass gasification

Biomass gasification It is defined as a “process of converting solid biomass fuel into gaseous combustible gas which involves incomplete combustion of biomass in the presence of gasification agent including air, steam, oxygen or combination of these.” In this process, results obtained in the form of combustible gas is a mixture of hydrogen, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, methane and other light and heavy hydrocarbons. The resulting gas mixture obtained at the end of gasification is called syngas or producer gas. This process involves drying, pyrolysis, oxidation and reduction.
