Bolognese Zoodle Bake[edit | edit source]

A delicious and hearty keto friendly dish, the Bolognese Zoodle Bake is a perfect meal for those following a low-carb diet. This recipe uses zucchini noodles, also known as "zoodles", in place of traditional pasta to keep the carb count low.

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and sauté until the onion is translucent.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  4. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, basil, and parsley. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  5. While the sauce is simmering, prepare the zoodles. Using a spiralizer, turn the zucchinis into noodles.
  6. In a baking dish, layer the zoodles, then the Bolognese sauce, and finally the shredded mozzarella cheese.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Let the dish cool for a few minutes before serving.
