- Clare, Michigan is a city located in the U.S. state of Michigan. It is situated in Clare County and is known for its small-town charm and rich history. The city is named after County Clare in Ireland.

- The city of Clare was established in the late 19th century, with the first settlers arriving in the area in 1870. It was incorporated as a city in 1891. The city's history is deeply rooted in the lumber industry, which was the primary economic driver in the region during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

- Clare is located in the central part of Michigan's Lower Peninsula, approximately 30 miles south of the geographic center of the state. The city covers a total area of 3.83 square miles, all of it land.
